Breeding and Strains: Classic Kamfa

What is a ck: (classic kamfa)
  • Classic kamfa is as the name suggests a kamfa with the classic colours and shaping, they are bred from a zz and parrot, mammon or Veija, this makes there red usually washed out like a pink colour, they tend to have semi or hard kok but can sometimes have water kok,
  • They are known to show all the big features of the Veija blood (big fins and tail, big body square and solid)

Veija

What’s the importance of keeping classic kamfa even though now that we have kamfa and king kamfa:
  • In my opinion classic kamfa is essential to reintroduce the traits of kamfa when they are line bred or crossed to zz the kamfa and king kamfa lose traits, look around and see a lot of people breed them and get to a point they get tail gap or even lower protruding jaw,
  • Rather then correcting the line people decided let’s make a in between strain called kzz (kamfa body zz face or visa versa) I’m not reopening the argument if this is right but if u look back at the history of Flowerhorns
  • Since kamfa came on the seen this has always been the case and simply crossing these to a ck would re kamfa trait the line:

CK Water kok and pearls

Ck Water kok and vibrant colour

  • As kamfa progress and constantly are crossed back to Veija the quality of traits in ck will come to
  • Since I been in the hobby ck now even have pearls

Ck hard kok

Mammon
